Opened when Mahahual was not on the maps, Luna de Plata continue to offer italian and seafood dishes with a particularly attention to fresh and selectionated ingredients. This is the real reason that make Luna de Plata the well known Restaurant that the people who lives in Costa Maya (and the crew members of the cruise ships) really prefer. Located at km. 2 on the Avenida Mahahual, Luna de Plata offers a quiter beach than the downtown's one, the place where you can recharge yourself with a cocktail on the caribbean sea. You can taste all tipical flavour of the italian cousine, for an example start witha bruschetta then spaghetti alla carbonara, amatriciana, bolognese, or choose seafood like fresh 'parilla' lobster or shrimps, after all... a delicious dessert or a 'cappuccino'. Served on the beach or looking at the sea from a big window. Prices of dishes between 8 to 30 U$ dollars. Valuable wine lists, cocktails at the bar. Also 10 elegant Rooms available. After hurricane Dean (aug 2007) Luna de Plata was totally reconstructed and it is brand new. Remembering the old times there's the same wonderful nature with her colors.
